The list of books I want to read is growing so large, I decided to post the list just so I would have it written down somewhere. These books are in no particular order, but I do want to start with the first, as I have already begun it, but had to put it aside.
- Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke
- New Moon by Stephenie Meyer
- Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer
- Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer
- The Yiddish Policemen’s Union by Michael Chabon
- The Commoner by John Burnham Schwartz
- Confessions of a Pagan Nun by Kate Horsely
- Who Murdered Chaucer? by Terry Jones
- Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen
- Persuasion by Jane Austen
- Mansfield Park by Jane Austen
- The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins
- In the Heart of the Sea: The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex by Nathaniel Philbrick
- Just a Geek by Wil Wheaton
- Absalom, Absalom! by William Faulkner
- Stardust by Neil Gaiman
- A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens
- This Side of Paradise by F. Scott Fitzgerald
- Atonement Ian McEwan
- The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
- His Dark Materials series by Phillip Pullman
That ought to do for a start!
I can certainly recommend the last three – all of which I've reviewed on my web site, Dana.
Hi Roger! Certainly your recommendations carry great weight with me. Thanks!
Hi Dana…our book club read Kite Runner and Atonment, so I would be interested in what you think of them…for the record, we LOVED Kite Runner and DID NOT love Atonement…
